Savvy IT , Inc. has an opening for a Software Engineer (Job Code SE) to work in Iselin, NJ and various unanticipated locations throughout the US.

Design and develop new computer systems by choosing and configuring hardware and software, and devise ways to apply existing systems’ resources to additional tasks;
consult managers and users to gather and interpret functional specifications and user requirements; perform structured analysis, data modeling, information engineering, mathematical model building, sampling, and cost accounting; work with programmers to design logical and physical database structures using Oracle, DB2, and other relational databases, on networked PCs and workstations in Windows, Sun Solaris, and UNIX;
work with programmers to develop user interfaces and systems features using WebSphere, WebLogic, JBoss, Crystal Reports, and related client-server tools;
work with programmers to create internet/intranet functionality using Java, JavaScript, J2EE, EJB, XML, XSL, Spring, Hibernate, C/C++, and related web tools;
coordinate tests and observe initial system use, and develop enhancements and modifications;
provide user training and technical documentation, as needed.

Educational Qualifications : Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or closely related field

Required to apply technical and business knowledge in the analysis of client requirements in project areas such as IT testing and product acceptance, new business operating models with innovative approaches support, enterprise solutions, market research of emerging or available product functionality and operational readiness assessment.
Provide analysis and definition of efficient, cost effective solutions supporting business partner’s processes and functional requirements.
Prepare appropriate documentation to communicate and validate the information. Assess and manage risks to minimize impact to the overall operations and/or project. Perform a variety of project related activities, including analysis or preparation of documentation, presentations and trainings.
Work with the QA team and end users for UAT, assisting in QA and UAT directly when necessary.
Experience working in an agile environment, SQL, SAS, Sharepoint, Visio, Excel, Tableau and some ETL a plus. MS access, HTML, PHP, Java, Unix/Linux/Solaris.
